American Martial Arts Children’s Foundation® was established in 2004 to offer less fortunate children the opportunity to study Martial Arts. Our parent company, American Martial Arts® (AMA), is a local Martial Arts school that has served Charlotte and its surrounding communities since 1991. AMA offers instruction to children from six (6) years of age through adulthood. AMA combines 10 (ten) styles of Martial Arts, offering a positive, fun and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their goals.
Martial Arts training extend beyond acquired defensive skills to the physical and mental development of the student. Our program incorporates activities that focus on the areas of personal development, including communication, social and emotional development. These learned skills reach far beyond the classroom, and benefit the children throughout their entire lives. While the hard work and achievement are measured individually, the success is not only felt by the student, it is felt by the entire AMA family.
American Martial Arts Children’s Foundation® teaches a mixed martial arts styles that includes Taekwondo, Karate, Jujitsu, Aikido, Shootfighting, Judo, and Okinawan Kempo.
